Our Last Home

From the Curb

This is the house exterior.  It's a Dutch Colonial, shingle-style home with lots of character.  It has leaded glass windows and wood shingles.  Lots of charm and potential!  Michael Penny helped me with some paint choices and curb appeal suggestions on his blog.  That project will probably start next spring.  Someday, lots of white hydrangeas will bloom here.

The Kitchen

I painted out the kitchen before we moved into the house.  It is the first phase of renovation to this part of the home.  The next phase will involve a farmhouse sink and a complete gut job.  As soon as our budget allows.  You can see the before shots and the process here.

The Living Room

Elliott's Room

This is the only room we've really completed to this point.  There are lots of handmade details - like the barnboard wall, the captain's bed and desk, the curtains and the Union Jack pillow.

Audrey's Room

This room isn't done yet, so I probably should wait to add it here but who knows when I'll get the details in place.  Still to come is a built- in desk area and reading nook. You can read about the progress here.

I will continue to update this page as we complete more of the work on the house.  So check back!
